A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After much hype from my bookish friends, I finally read ACOTAR. It seems I had avoided any spoilers, tho, because I had very little idea about what would happen other than some character names. The book is tagged as YA, but my understanding of those labels would put this more as NA. There are explicit sexual scenes.
This series broadens my idea of faeries. Here, anything fae is faerie. So not just the “tinkerbells.” That variety was fun to learn about.
It was slowish at the beginning, partly due to the world building, which is necessary in a fantasy series. Also, because of the blight, things were vague, but ultimately cleared up at the finale.
The last 10% of the book made me cry! So have your tissues handy.
I feel like this review is not very helpful, but I hate spoilers, and don’t want to give any away! I’m on to the next book!
