The Day of the Duchess

I’m late posting this review for Day of the Duchess. Sarah MacLean has a Christmas anthology coming out (with Sophie Jordan, Tessa dare, and Joanna Shupe) called How the Dukes Stole Christmas. I needed a book review for one of them for the ARC application, and it was easier to write a new one then figure out which ones already had reviews. So, here we go!
+++++
We know Haven cheated from a previous book. I don’t like cheaters. But this book delves deeply into Haven’s motives and heart, and I wasn’t surprised that Sarah was able to redeem him. I’ve read this twice. The first time I ugly cried in a restaurant while reading the paperback. A year later I listened to the audio in preparation of the next book by Sarah (loosely connected, different series). I ugly cried at work. I didn’t care either time. Do yourself a favor and read this book. I strongly recommend reading the first two in the trilogy - The Rogue Not Taken and A Scot in the Dark - so you can fully hate what Haven did to Sera, so you can fully appreciate his redemption.
